Language Resources
For anyone exchanging in France or Belgium (or any French speaking country for that matter), you should check out the website: http://bonpatron.com/en/ . It’s an online program that checks your spelling and grammar for you in French, it won’t give you any translations but it is SUPER HELPFUL just to make sure that you are putting all of the words in your sentences in the right places.
For translation http://www.wordreference.com will always be my first option. When you search for a word it doesn’t give you just one translated word (like google translate UGH), it gives you a whole list of options depending on the context of the conversation, what you want to say etc. There are also forums that people use to discuss the correct way to say phrases and such and a lot of native French speakers are very active and ready to help.
Word reference also has dictionaries for Spanish Italian, German, Russian, Portuguese Polish, Romanian, Czech, Greek, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Arabic.
So there you go, language resources!
